The sister of an 8-year-old murder victim drowned in the Snake River last month, according to a report.

The Emmett-Messenger Index via the Idaho Press reported on Monday that 15-year-old Taylor Summers drowned in the Pillar Falls area of the Snake River on July 22.

The newspaper was unable to get any government agency to confirm the victim's identification but cited friends and family members. CBS2 has not independently confirmed this information but has reached out to the Twin Falls County Coroner's Office.

Taylor's 8-year-old sister, Taryn, was found dead inside a trash bag in the back seat of a vehicle in April at a home in Emmett. The girl's grandmother, Connie Ann Smith, is currently in custody on charges related to the young girl's death.

The sheriff's office in its news release in July said a 15-year-old was swimming when friends reported she had gone underwater and didn't come back up.
